Message from Des Malone, Chair of the DCT
Dear friend,
As usual we want to give you an early notification for your diary. Our awards evening this year will be on Thursday 27th July and we do hope you will join with us and our guest of honour, Vicki Foxcroft MP, to celebrate the amazing work that you all do in Deptford.
We recognise that the voluntary sector is under increasing pressure and so we have commissioned two important pieces of work. The first is a piece of research carried out for us by Emily Simpson which details all the grant giving funds available to those working in the voluntary and community sector in Deptford. You can download a copy via the links below and we think you will find it useful and hope you will be successful in accessing some of this funding:
The second is a conference which we will be hosting in the early autumn focusing on how we can work together to meet the challenges of the current economic climate. We are delighted that Professor Katherine Riley from the university of London will be working with us to make it a useful and exciting event.
