Strategic Grants 2011
In 2011 seven grant of up to £30,000 were awarded to:
Bench Outreach
To continue to provide street outreach offering advice, signposting, referral and advocacy support to homeless and vulnerable people in Deptford and New Cross.
Creekside Education Trust
To contribute to two full-time posts a Centre Coordinator and Learning Deliverer working with local schools, community organisations and local residents.
Eco Computer Systems
To provide 8 weeks of ICT training for 60 people, followed by the installation of a free computer in their homes, complete with free internet access for a year.
Entelechy Arts Limited
To continue the delivery of a programme of activities for older people targeting those who are isolated and get little opportunity to connect with and contribute to the social and cultural life of their community.
Lewisham District Scout Council
To continue the employment of a Development Officer to support local communities in setting up new Scout Groups for young people aged 6-14 years.
London Youth Support Trust
A contribution to the running costs of the Deptford Centre. The Deptford Centre is made up of 29 business units which are made available to young people at a subsidised rent.
Parent Support Group
To provide parents and their partners with one-to-one information advice and guidance (IAG); counselling services; early intervention training; drop in sessions, and residential weekends where they can build a peer network.
