Small Grants 2012
In 2012 seven grants of up to £5,000 were awarded to:
Anyadwe Children And Family Welfare Association
To deliver dance and drumming sessions to young people to improve their health and wellbeing.
New Cross Library (via parent organisation Bold Vision)
To provide training and capacity building for the volunteer Management Committee of New Cross Library and to upgrade IT equipment to be used as a community resource.
Family Services UK
To hold a summer camp for young people and their parents with the aim of establishing a regular community resource centre for individuals to understand the importance and issues of mental health.
Inspiring Your Imagination
To provide music and video workshops for members from four different gangs to encourage positive interaction, develop skills and to achieve accreditation.
Malachi Mentoring Services
To offer a weekly drop-In providing physical, emotional and psychological support for older and vulnerable people.
Somali and Somaliland Community
To provide employability support, including IT training, CV writing and English for interview skill, for parents of children attending the after school club.
Teatro Vivo
To involve members of the local community in an interactive, promenade theatre production.
