Small Grants 2016

In 2016 nine grants of up to £5,000 were awarded to:

DeptfordFolk

To develop services and activities within Deptford Park and Folkestone Gardens which bring together new and existing residents.

Deptford Working Histories

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Pepys Estate through a local history project.

Elevating Success UK

For two accredited courses for NEET young people (those not in education, employment or training) to create pathways into construction and catering/hospitality.

England Shotokan Karate-do Federation

To subsidise entry fees and transport costs to enable children and young people from low-income families to participate in national karate competitions.

Frameless Arts C.I.C

To provide a skateboard making after-school club for children and young people aged 7-11 years.

Good Retirements

To provide leisure activities for older residents which improve physical and mental health and wellbeing as well as reduce isolation.

New Cross and Deptford Families First Ltd

To provide one-to-one support to 16 families on low incomes, particularly those who are new to the area or have no recourse to public funds.

NOW Live Events (Now Productions UK. C.I.C)

To run a third annual festival of arts and mental health workshops at Deptford Lounge with a focus on mindfulness.

Voluntary Services Lewisham (Formerly the Voluntary Care Centre)

To set up a new group befriending project for vulnerable and isolated older people living in the DCT area.
