Small Grants 2013

In 2013 eight grants of up to £5,000 were awarded to:

Ageing Well Fun Club

To establish a new regular programme of activities for local older residents living in the East area of Deptford.

Creekside Education Trust

To run a skills development training project and an after school club project for children, young people and unemployed individuals, living in the area.

Dance on Broadway

To cover hall hire costs, to continue to run a Saturday dance class for children and young people. The project will run on Saturdays, with 5 classes per session for 38 weeks.

Good Retirements

To continue to provide a series of exercise classes for older members of the community.

New Cross and Deptford Families First

To run a 10 week pilot therapeutic group with children, parents and schools staff.

Noahs Ark Childrens Venture

To offer free residential breaks in Macaroni Wood, in the Cotswolds to 10 groups of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and people with disabilities. Activities focus on play and skills development.

Playhouse Community Nursery

To offer a series of healthy eating workshops/drop-in sessions following a variety of themes.

Voluntary Services Lewisham (Formerly the Voluntary Care Centre)

To provide a programme of workshops in partnership with local organisations to improve healthy lifestyles and increase life expectancy.
